1. The Port Credit community is located on the northern shore of Lake Ontario in south-central Mississauga and at the end of the Credit River. Its borders extend from the CN railway line in the north, to Lake Ontario in the south, Godfrey'Line – Shawnmarr Road in the west, and Seneca Ave – Adamson Estate Park in the east. , Port Credit community is a community with a long history and culture in southern Mississauga.
2. The historical Port Credit community evolved from the commodity trading hub on the Credit River. Since the French La Broquerie established Port Frontenac at the mouth of the Cataraqui River in 1757, this small port has successively attracted many farmers, businessmen and tourists to come to visit and live. The Port Credit community also maintained its independent identity until it was officially incorporated into Mississauga's municipal jurisdiction in 1974.

The Port Credit Memorial Park in the current community has become an excellent place for residents in the area to entertain and relax. Many celebrations include Mississauga Waterfront Festival MWF, Port Credit Yacht Show, Port Credit Blues-Jazz Festival, etc. The events are held in this park and the pier next to it. Together with other large and small lakeside parks and green spaces in the area, the whole community has a more natural atmosphere. Many piers in this area are equipped with small boats for tourists to rent. The rental fee can be calculated in hours, days or weeks, and tourists can enjoy the fun of swimming in the water.
